Today, March 17th, Kate began her Reading Challenge! She is planning to read 200 pages of a chapter book in 10 days to raise money for diabetes research. This annual fund raiser - called Kids for Kids - is sponsored by her school. Proceeds benefit the Children's Hospital Foundation and the Endocrinology Program at Kosair Children's Hospital here in Louisville.
So many of you have pledged your support to Kate. When Kate meets her goal, she will raise at least $220 - thanks to your generosity!
We'll use our Blog to help you track her progress - so please check back regularly.
Kate is has now selected The Little Princess as the 1st chapter book she'll tackle - we're already on page 18!!
