More Summer Fun

The "Girls on Speed" have been sincerely blessed with one of the most exciting summers on record! Our adventures in home improvement have finally ended (a big "heck" yeah!). The 2008 Swim Season with the Mary T. Meagher "Hammerheads" was a rousing success! Kate made it to the "Blue Division" LSA Championships and sprouted gills! Her relays came in 4th and 5th and she placed 10th in the individual butterfly & 13th in backstroke. She cut her fly time an additional 6 seconds!! Her colleagues in the 8 and under girls' bullpen were such wonderful teammmates and her coaches ... well, let's just say, they found the best in each of these kids and helped them to achieve their full potential! Thanks Coach Heather & Coach Jordan!!

Then there was last week... it was a pre-teen's "glory day" - starting with a Road Trip to Indy and wonderful "Q" time with the "X-Man" and his family - and culminating to the mother of all concerts ... THE JONAS BROTHERS LIVE!! Kate and her best friend Sophia (and Sophia's mom/my pal Leslie) rocked out with the boys ... along with about 100,000 other screaming girls, guys, "kinda guys" and adults! It was a treat.

Now it's off to Oregon for one of the "Girls on Speed" ... and a week at Walden Theatre Camp for the dramatic one (you get to guess who's doing what). In the meantime - enjoy our slide show of our latest escapades!

Thanks to everyone who has made this the Summer of Fun for the "Girls on Speed"!!
