"Wicked" Winter Fun!
The Girls on Speed have been known to complain (ever-so-slightly) about the cold. Skyrocketing LG&E bills, brisk 6 am "outings" with the puppy, grey skies ... make us work that much harder to keep our sunny dispositions. However, drop a few inches of the white stuff on us - at least enough to put school on hold - and we make our own warm memories!
Our week of "wicked" fun began with a winter "theatah" experience. We took in a Sunday matinee of "Wicked" at the Kentucky Center and were blown away by the talents of the performers, costumers and set technicians. Emily and Henry - who themselves are no slouches when it comes to the performing arts - accompanied the G-O-S to the event. A "wicked" good time was had by all. The budding divas (what is the male equivalent??) were so inspired - which is a good thing as both the she-divas have performances of their own on the horizon...
... Then came the "wicked" weather! As you'll see from the slide show - everyone got into the act - including Uncle Mark who made one of his world famous Snow Uncles in our front yard (like a snow angel - but nothing that Mark does is remotely angelic - hee hee hee). Following snow romps with Dazzle and some brief, but impressive sledding, Kate got to work shoveling the steps for two of our neighbors and building her own abstract ice sculpture.
We, once again, were reminded of those less fortunate ... added some extra dollars to our LG&E bill for WinterHelp and thanked the good Lord for blessing us with a warm home and even warmer memories of the "wicked" winter fun!
